LONG ISLAND RAILROAD – LIRR

Overview

LIRR was looking for a safe and efficient way to rerail derailed trains because they were having several derailments throughout the year that required costly contractors. Keeping it in house.

Solution

In this case, we were able to use the standard portable hydraulic reraling equipment.

Our Process

We gave a demonstration of the Portable Reraling equipment, the complete set.
Then some minor specifications were exchanged to make sure it fits what they needed.
Purchase order was sent.
Ignite our manufacturing process with Hegenscheidt.
Delivery and training on the equipment.

The Results

LIRR has been successfully rerailing through over 30 years using several of the Hegenscheidt rerailing system across the LIRR.
