Introduction
Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens on the ground, in the field, and in direct conversation with the people who keep the rail industry moving.
That belief guided a recent North American roadshow by Railquip and its Swiss technology partner, Nencki AG, as they introduced the next generation of industrial testing equipment for railway to key rail stakeholders across the US and Canada.
From the West Coast to the East Coast, the tour was more than a product showcase, it was a collaborative effort to align innovation with real-world operational needs.
The message was clear: modern bogie and component testing must be fast, precise, automated, and ready to meet evolving compliance and safety demands. Nencki’s proven technology, now supported by Railquip’s expertise in North America, delivers just that.

On the road: key client highlights from across the US and Canada
Railquip and Nencki’s tour included meetings with engineers, operators, and decision-makers at some of the most respected names in rail. Each visit offered valuable insight and opened the door to future collaboration.
HDR – Los Angeles, CA & Denver, CO
We introduced Nencki’s fully automated bogie test stands, focusing on their ability to ensure safety compliance while improving efficiency and repeatability. HDR teams responded with strong interest, especially in the context of increasing project volume and new compliance frameworks.
Stadler – Salt Lake City, UT
At Stadler’s manufacturing site, we explored a collaborative upgrade to their existing bogie test stands. As they continue to produce light rail vehicles across the US, the discussion centred on new safety standards, precision testing, and integration flexibility.
DART & Herzog (HTSI) – Dallas, TX
In Texas, where high-speed rail is gaining momentum, we presented future-ready testing equipment & solutions designed to meet the demands of faster, heavier, and more sophisticated trains. Herzog and DART welcomed ideas for streamlining component validation while staying ahead of industry requirements.
Siemens – Brightline, Orlando, FL
This courtesy visit included an inspection of an existing test stand and discussions around future expansion. As long-term Railquip clients, Siemens continues to benefit from ongoing support and planning discussions — ensuring that their test systems evolve alongside their growing networks.
East Coast & Toronto Visits
To round out the roadshow, Railquip and Nencki visited key stakeholders in Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York State, and Toronto. These meetings helped introduce Nencki’s capabilities to new audiences and reinforced Railquip’s role as a regional connector between North American rail needs and global engineering excellence.
Technology in action: the industrial testing equipment redefining bogie validation
As part of the roadshow, Railquip unveiled the core features of its Testing Equipment line, now enhanced through its partnership with Nencki AG.
Nencki’s automated systems offer:
- Precision testing for bogies and subcomponents, reducing human error
- Full automation with digital reporting and system integration
- Proven reliability from decades of European field use
- Custom configurations for OEM, light rail, or heavy rail applications
- Compliance-ready setups that streamline certification and QA processes
- Scalability, making them suitable for both small fleets and high-throughput facilities
These systems represent a significant leap forward in rail testing, combining automation, accuracy, and compliance readiness in one scalable platform. As rail networks grow more complex, Railquip’s goal remains simple: to deliver solutions that keep testing efficient, consistent, and ahead of tomorrow’s standards.
From Switzerland to North America: a message from Nencki AG
“It was a pleasure to work with such a committed and competent team. I was impressed by the flexibility and solution-oriented approach of Railquip in every situation.”
— Jürg Roth, Nencki AG
For Nencki AG, the roadshow was an opportunity to bring decades of European experience to the North American market, but more importantly, it was a chance to listen. Jürg Roth, who joined Railquip for the full tour, highlighted the shared commitment to engineering excellence, client responsiveness, and long-term partnerships.
Nencki sees this collaboration as the beginning of a broader conversation about global standards, local solutions, and scalable innovation, and Railquip is proud to be leading that conversation across the continent.
Full steam ahead for testing innovation
From complex compliance needs to next-generation vehicle designs, the future of rail testing demands precision, automation, and strategic support.
With Nencki’s advanced systems and Railquip’s regional expertise, North American clients now have access to the same world-class testing technology used by leading rail operators worldwide.
